Advice with first time back / neck hair waxing for male clients

Whilst there are some areas that people can wax easily at home (for those guys that prefer to do their own waxing) with the help of a friend and some shop bought home waxing strips However the hair on the neck leading up into the hair line is often much stronger and coarser than the hair on the back or chest so this can be a very painful area to wax if it's not carried out by a professional!

With general body waxing most of us waxing therapists tend to use a good quality strip wax for larger areas like the back, chest and legs etc and then use non strip waxes for the areas that are a bit more sensitive like facial waxing ( brows, ear lobes and the nostrils) underarms and of course for all the  male intimate waxing treatments. Non strip wax , or 'hot wax' as it's more commonly known is applied directly to the skin and as it sets it shrink wraps the hair so there is no need for any paper strips and when it's set it easy and quick to remove thus making it a better option for these areas.

We offer a range of full  back waxes with the option of having your neck hair removed and we find that most clients prefer this and it's a better option with having it waxed at the same time rather than your barber or hairdresser clipping the hair on the back of the neck which will result in hair that's much coarser and stronger. Also it looks do much better to have both areas waxed at the same time.

With regards to your waxing aftercare treat the neck / hairline a little more carefully and ensure that you follow your aftercare and continue to apply your post waxing products as recommended and if it's being waxed during the summer ensure that you protect the area with a suitable SPF as the neck can often be exposed.

We always provide relevant aftercare advice for all clients that's relevant to the areas they wax and we retail a range of suitable post waxing products as well as recommending suitable high street alternatives.
