The back sack and crack wax explained for a wax virgin!

The Back, Sack and Crack Explained For a Wax Virgin!

A lot of the time we get calls from people who have never waxed before and they would like to book in for a male intimate waxing treatment; male Brazilian wax, Hollywood wax or the classic back sack and crack and often have lots of questions to ask about treatment procedure , what they should do before the appointment and how to maintain the area afterwards.

Okay so if you are particularly hairy in and around the pubic area it would be much better if you trim before your appointment.  If you have trimmers then it's often easier to do this at home just trim the hair back no shorter than number four, this way you leave the hair long enough but you have to remove the excess. If you don't have trimmers or you prefer not to do this at home don't worry we can do this for you at the beginning of the treatment.

On arrival all new clients will be given a consultation form to complete. Please note this information is confidential and is required as part of our insurance. This information enables us to ensure that we are able to proceed as planned with your treatment and may identify any reason for us to perhaps adapt or adjust the way we carry out the treatment.

For the actual waxing treatment we will discuss with you before we begin exactly what you require. Often many clients get confused and think they want certain treatments and when we discuss with them what this involves it's often something else that they require so to avoid this confusion we have given all of our treatments their own individual names and each one of these has a clear description of what is included within each of these treatments on our website and we also confirm that this is what you require before we start to remove hair!

Arriving clean and fresh gets you off to a good start!... We do appreciate that people have to travel some distance often to get to us or that you may be coming straight from work so we will leave you alone in the room for a few moments with some wipes so that you can freshen up in preparation for your waxing treatment.

Before we start the waxing process we have to prepare your skin so as explained earlier long hair will be trimmed back. We use Perron Rigot wax and products for all our treatments and we follow the Perron Rigot method for all our treatments, so to start with we will use our cleansing lotion to clean your skin first and then after we have done this we will apply a little bit of jasmine oil. The oil creates a lipid barrier which will make your waxing treatments much more comfortable as the wax with not tug or pull on the skin when it's being removed.

Then on to the waxing...

With all our male intimate waxing treatments we use non strip waxes, often known as 'hot wax' this is a wax which is the consistency of  thick honey and is applied directly to the hair in the direction of growth and as it sets it shrink wraps the hair and is removed without the use of any paper strips so it's a quick and comfortable removal. The actual wax we use is called Homme which is a men's wax from Perron Rigot and this wax is used at a much lower temperature than some other wax brands so it's much more comfortable for these sensitive areas.

After we have remove all the wax from the areas we then apply a little  more jasmine oil which will remove any little bits of residual wax that may be left on the skin. We will use some cleansing lotion to remove all the excess oils you are not left with any oil on your skin which may go on to your clothing and then we can use either a refreshing gel or a moisturising milk to soothe the skin at the end of the treatment.

For most of our male intimate waxing treatments these take no longer than 30 minutes and for those clients to do regular waxing it's often much shorter. For new clients we factor in extra time is that've can complete the forms, discuss your treatment and agree your aftercare so just arrive at the agreed appointment time.

At the end of all our treatments we will discuss with you after care and this will include all the ways that you can maintain your skin to help to avoid any spots or ingrown hairs. We retail a range of suitable aftercare products from Perron Rigot and these include the hair minimising range which some clients find beneficial to reduce their hair regrowth in the pubic area and we also retail packs which are designed for those clients who do suffer from an ingrown hairs with products designed to target these.

For all our new clients we do give written after care guidelines which will reinforce what we have told you during your treatment and we also give all of our clients are free exfoliate wash cloth; www,abitifrough.com , these normally retail at £8 , but all our new clients as part of their welcome pack will receive one for free with all their body waxing treatments.

So there you go ... That's our back sack and crack treatment explained.
